Athens Airport

Some more walking about last night, through the plaka and to Monasteraki square to a rooftop bar to look at the fantastic view of the Acropolis while drinking expensive and mediocre cocktails. We attempted some souvenir shopping but found nothing worthwhile. I got my friends some tapenade here in the airport (which ended up being rancid!!!)

We walked to the Pangrati district for dinner – laid back but people around, was perfectly our sppeed, and had greek food that didn’t feel tired! Unfortunately J’s grandpa needed to go to the hospital, so we talked to his mom for a while. We watched My Big Fat Greek Wedding before sleeping. We had a really fantastic trip -Greece feels comfortable and culturally similar to the US. With better lighting 🙂
