Eeep, we are spooked by watching “The Haunting of Hill House!”
Yesterday, we took a full on rest day, which was glorious. We slept in, lounged around by our little pool, ate our groceries, caught up on TikToks, and Jordan played his PC game called “Crusader Kings”. I watched “Maid” a bit in the loft before getting back in the pool.

We had a late lunch/early dinner at Eleni’s restaurant in Emporios (their last day of the season!). We played with the cats and a little kitten named Babycat (our name) laid on J’s lap for almost all of dinner.

We also went to a farmstand where an Australian guy sold us fresh eggs. On the way home, we explored into the Arginonta Valley, because we noticed lots of the enormous rock wall lit up. Turns out there’s a little canteen there with flood lights – we followed our curiosity today!
This morning we started early and climbed our villa at Sea Breeze Wall – we were the first ones on the wall at 8 am. We had a nice time and I led my hardest climb yet – a 5B+, which felt like honest-to-god real climbing.

When we got hot and hungry we came down to the villa and saw the produce truck we had seen around the island in other spots. He was playing ice-cream truck music and had a female Australian?) recorded voice projecting out the fruits and veg he had available. We got a good amount of produce for 3 euros and it was so whimsical.

After a limonata and a snack we used our private staircase to go down to the sea. We took a dip in the gentle alcove with wave barely lapping at us. The water was slightly chilly but felt sooo good on tired feet. From there, we hopped straight in the pool, and enjoyed spritz & chips o’clock while watching the climbers on Pocket Wall.
This afternoon we lounged around, grilled veggies and pita with hummus for dinner, drank some less-than-stellar Greek red wine, and watched Hill House. We want to stay here even longer, and we’re getting kitchen/house ideas from this building the longer we stay!
